Your family's gross income level exceeds the State maximum level for any available subsidized childcare programs at this time. However, if you contact the Child Development Resource Center (CDRC) at 831.466.5820 a representative will be able to refer you to child care providers who are legally licensed or legally license- exempt. The referral services from the Santa Cruz Child Care Referral Program are provided free of charge.
Choosing child care is one of the most crucial decisions a parent has to make. Therefore, the most important questions a parent can ask himself/herself are: "Will my child receive an adequate attention? Will he/she receive love?" There are many types of child care which may be good only if they provide warmth, safety, supervision and individual attention to a child's needs. There are centers and family child care centers and in-home child care home services, but which is the best for your child? Only you will know the answer.
Options for parents simply means that they have the right as well as the responsibility of choosing the child care with which they will feel comfortable and meet their children's needs. The services of the Santa Cruz Child Care Resource and Referral Program are offered to all persons without regard to race, sex, gender, color, ancestry, religion, creed, national origin, physically handicap or mental condition, age, marital status, domestic partnership or sexual orientation including persons with HIV/AIDS.
